WATER IS LIFE
We would like to contribute towards enabling more people access to clean drinking water. Therefore we have decided to support KUMANGA e.V., an organization which offers self-help to the people directly.
THE WATER WELL PROJECT
Malawi is a landlocked country in the south east of Africa. The west of the country is affected by drought and dryness from May to November. In this time there is a shortage of clean drinking water. Particularly women and children walk miles to get a bucket of water from a contaminated water point. There are no water wells that bring the water to the surface in many regions.
Sustainable improvements in living conditions
KUMANGA e.V. took on the task of sustainably improving the life of people living in the dry region of Malawi, on a long-term basis. The construction of a water well will enable the people to bring precious water to the surface – there where it is most needed – daily. In addition to clean water, the project will offer families the possibility of sending their children to school. Not only will the water well prevent illness and disease, but will also support in educational aspects, the village community as well as the economic and social development of the village.
KEUCO supports KUMANGA e.V.
We would like to contribute towards enabling more people access to clean drinking water. Therefore we have decided to support KUMANGA e.V., an organization which offers self-help to the people directly. A significant project of KUMANGA e.V. is to build a water well in Malawi. Clean drinking water means better hygiene, health and a better quality of life. We support KUMANGA e.V. and finance the construction of water wells in Malawi. This is part of our social commitment.
A special thanks
Dear chiefs from KEUCO,
We, the people from Kaudzu in Malawi, are very grateful for the water well you have made possible.
We, our children and the people of the surrounding villages benefit from the water well every day, because diseases transmitted by contaminated water are significantly minimized.
Thank you for your support!
Chief of Kaudzu
