We are conscious of our responsibility.

Water is life

We want to make a contribution so that more people get access to clean drinking water. That is why we decided to support the KUMANGA e.V. association, which directly and simply helps people help themselves.

The well project

Malawi is a landlocked country in south-eastern Africa. Particularly in the summer months, the western part of the country is fraught with drought and very dry. Clean drinking water is scarce. Women and children frequently walk many kilometres on foot to fetch a bucket of water from a tainted watering hole. In many places there are no wells that provide water at ground level.

Sustainable improvements to living conditions

KUMANGA e.V. has made it its mission to make lasting and sustainable improvements to the lives of the people in the dry region of Malawi. Building wells can allow precious water to be brought to the surface.

There, where it is needed. Every day. In addition to clean water, the project now means that families have time to send their children to school. Not only does the well prevent disease, it also promotes education, the village community and the economic and social development of the village.

KEUCO supports KUMANGA e.V.

We support KUMANGA e.V. and finance the construction of wells in Malawi, so that more people get access to clean drinking water. A vital project of KUMANGA e.V. is to build wells in Malawi. There, clean drinking water means helping people help themselves, directly and simply. It means improved hygiene, health and quality of life. That is part of our social engagement.

Letter from Zikomo

Special thanks

Dear KEUCO Management,

We, the people from Kaudzu in Malawi, are very grateful for the well you have made possible.

We, our children and the people in the surrounding villages benefit daily from the well, because diseases carried by tainted water are considerably minimized this way.

We thank you for your support!

Sincerely

Zikomo,

Chief of Kaudzu
