Sustainable hotel concept Villa Viva – a house that builds fountains
KEUCO design products in the bathrooms of the Hamburg guesthouse
Let the show begin for the “circus of the future”: with its exciting new hotel concept, the Villa Viva Hamburg is full of surprises. The design of the guesthouse is bursting with colour and every corner was created with an individual touch – some rooms even with prominent input from musician Jan Delay and moderator Barbara Schöneberger. “A place of togetherness” – because regardless of their unique expectations, needs or wishes, each guest will find the accommodation they are looking for here.
The Villa Viva Hamburg guesthouse is a hotel of Viva con Agua and Heimathafen Hotels. A minimum of 40% of profits from guesthouse operations are diverted to water projects and support the work of the non-profit association Viva con Agua de Sankt Pauli e.V. Thus, with an overnight stay at Villa Viva you can do a good deed in your sleep. An initiative that KEUCO also endorses for the sake of its own sustainability strategy, because the non-profit also supports WASH projects (WASH stands for water, sanitary and hygiene).
The consistent focus of this special hotel is on sustainability – in everything from the incorporated raw materials to the furnishings. The materials used are mostly recycled or low-CO2. Inside the Villa Viva it is colourful, unconventional and inspiring. One immediately feels welcome and part of a large community. The staff radiate happiness and positive activism. The entire guesthouse is brimming with colour and art.
The lovingly-designed building and rooms offer a unique experience for the senses. It is a masterpiece of sustainable architecture and room design, produced by Medium Architekten and Ufd Hamburg. Works by different artists grace the walls of the rooms and corridors.
In the KEUCO ARTroom the iconic Hamburg artist Rebelzer is immortalised, calling with his freaks for a drink of water. Here, maritime motifs are juxtaposed against carefully planned and coordinated interiors, with matt black KEUCO fittings and accessories in the bathrooms. The bathroom furniture in anthracite is produced by KEUCO.
Throughout the guesthouse modern, matt black fittings and accessories from KEUCO’s BLACK SELECTION can be found. The PLAN blue fittings in the shower and the IXMO fittings at the washbasin set powerful accents, yet still harmonise with the wide-ranging design concepts of the bathrooms.
The PLAN toilet paper holders, toilet brush sets, spare paper holders, towel hooks, towel rails and REVA shower shelves demonstrate just how stylish everyday accessories can look. All KEUCO products are produced in Germany and emphasise the sustainable concept of the hotel’s interior.
Awaiting guests in the barrier-free rooms are accessible KEUCO products of the AXESS series, designed by Studio F. A. Porsche. The rail system and stool provide security and comfort in the shower. AXESS drop-down supporting rails are mounted at the toilet. If not in use, when folded up they lie discreetly flat against the wall.
The suites of Villa Viva – to the furnishings of which the musician Jan Delay and moderator Barbara Schöneberger contributed – are furnished with EDITION 400 fittings and accessories from KEUCO in elegant brushed bronze. Without exception, each room tastefully reflects the inclinations of the respective artist.
The semi-public toilets belonging to the RoofDrop Bar and the Viva Cantina restaurant achieve hygienic, touchless comfort with matt black IXMO infrared fittings. Properly adjusted, infrared fittings promote sustainability and protection of resources. Thanks to the precise dosing, water and costs can be saved – right in line with the philosophy of the hotel.
