The Göttingen-Weende Evangelical Hospital relies on quality made in Germany in its bathroom design
The Göttingen-Weende Evangelical Hospital is the largest general hospital in southern Lower Saxony. Day and night, employees with humanity and state-of-the-art medicine are committed to the health and well-being of patients, making it a place where humanity in its individuality is at the forefront.
This individuality is also taken into account spatially in the new building of House 3 and in particular in the form of the new comfort station. Here, patients can define for themselves - regardless of their insurance status - which service and comfort best supports them in the recovery process. Medical care is identical to the hospital’s other departments.

With 20 single rooms and three double rooms, the new comfort station offers a comfortable atmosphere for 26 patients. The cosy loggias in the rooms and the roof terrace of the comfort station - with lounge sofa and beach basket - offer a fantastic panoramic view of Göttingen. All rooms have tasteful furnishings and well-equipped bathrooms that combine a modern ambience with a family atmosphere. The accessible bathrooms have been equipped with fittings, Accessories and cosmetic mirrors from KEUCO and offer patients comfortable handling in a stylish design.

The spacious bathrooms are designed to match the colour scheme of the adjacent rooms in warm natural tones. The bathrooms feature two different KEUCO equipment items: throughout in high-gloss chrome or matt black. The chrome surfaces and matt black surfaces stand out beautifully from the sand-coloured tiles and thus offer an accentuated and stylish ambience.
The IXMO FLAT single-lever basin mixer, the PLAN hair dryer and the iLook_move cosmetic mirror as well as the PLAN CARE sanitiser dispenser create a harmonious look at the washbasin. PLAN towel hooks complete the ensemble in the bathroom with its matt black interior.
The iLook_move cosmetics mirror from KEUCO with five-fold magnification and all-round LED lighting is used for closer observation. The innovative hinge technology also makes it easier to see the cosmetic mirror while seated. In addition to being height-adjustable, the cosmetic mirror may be optimally aligned laterally and tilted. Each bathroom is equipped with a PLAN bathroom stool, which is also suitable for the wet area, for example to shower comfortably while sitting.

In the accessible wet area, patients shower using the innovative IXMO thermostatic mixer, which combines several functions in a small space. The hand shower and shower head provide maximum showering comfort. The AXESS railing system and grab bars provide safety in the shower and support when standing up after a sitting shower. Can also be reached in the perfect position: the PLAN shower basket with chrome trim for the necessary care products in the bathroom. In the matt black bathroom ambience, care products for showering find their place in a wall niche.
The focus was also on patient comfort and safety when it came to the toilet area design. The PLAN toilet paper holder and grab bar are mounted at an optimal height. For patients with disabilities, the elegant KEUCO AXESS drop-down support rails, designed by Studio F. A. Porsche, support independence at the toilet.
As a special feature, The visually appealing AXESS drop-down support rail stands flat against the wall when folded up and is hardly visible as a drop-down support rail. Even folded down, it is a beautiful and elegant solution.
